Freshman year Spring Break, while everyone else was vacationing, I spent my time with my relay team attending the Stanford University Invitational, this was truly one of the highlights of my track career. Along with me competing in the AAU Junior Olympics in the summers of 2016 and 2017. And also in the USATF Junior Olympics in the summer of 2018. These experiences showed me just how much hard work really does pay off and what you can achieve as an individual and team player.
I first became interested in track after I was selected to play Pop Warner Flag Football during my 6th and 7th grade year. I enjoyed out running the boys and everyone called me “Wheels” because I was so much faster than the other kids on the team. From there my parents enrolled me in to a local club track club where I was able to further develop my track skills and running techniques. My coach and teammates would describe me as a team player, one who is coachable, open minded and willing to train for any position that my team needs me to fulfill.
My parents have instilled in me the value of a good education and I know hard work pays off for those who put in the time. That is why it is important to me to keep my grades up and follow my dreams. When I’m not running track, I enjoy working out, going to the mall, spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends.
My number #1 priority is to obtain my B.S. degree, stay healthy and physically fit to run track at the college level.
