Personal Statement

My cross country goals include perfecting my consistancy between mile one and mile two of a three mile race. I also am currently working on my form to get more leg turnover during my races. On the track side of things,my goals again include perfecting my consistancy between laps- in the 800M and 1600M. Also, I am working on improving my finishing kick (to begin sooner and finish stronger).

Through High School, I have earned a spot in the top 10 of my class (9th out of 150) and I have been on the high honor roll all 3 years.

Besides sports and academics, I am very involved in my extra-curriculars and the community. I know how to balance to my time and distribute it evenly between my sports, schoolwork, extra-curricular activites, and caring for and showing my horses. Through these things, I have learned responsibility, time management, and how to work well with others. I have competed on teams for FFA on both the state and national level, which taught me leadership as well as the importance of teamwork.

I have not came to a precise decision concerning my major or a university. However, I wish to persue my running career where I can also strive towards earning a degree.
