My name is Daria Tersina, and I will be attending Senior year at Prospect High School. It has always been my dream to become a collegiate level sprinter and jumper. I value athletics, academic achievements, and team work to help me reach my utmost potential. During my junior year of track, I was able to become the all time school record holder in the 100m dash and triple jump. I am also all-state in the 100m dash in Illinois, receiving a 7th place medal, in 2021. I train with the TNT travel team year round and have a personal record of 1.08 seconds in the 10m flies. I am an Honor Roll student, exploring possible fields of study in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or Physical Therapy. I have qualified every year for state competitions since I started track in the 6th grade. Also, I’ve competed in indoor and outdoor varsity state track competitions and USATF track club competitions. This year, I am proud to say that I was able to attend the class 3A state meet in all three of my events-100m, 200m, and triple jump. Recently, in July, I reached my PR of 25.01, in the 200m , and my goal is to hit the 24 sec. range very soon.
