Erin McCoy '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Erin McCoy and I am a senior at Fenwick High School. I have attained a 3.9 GPA in the classroom and I am a part of my schools newspaper, retreat program, and I am also the president of the student athlete leadership team.  I have run in the IHSA State track and field meet since my freshmen year. My freshmen year I ran the 800m,and as a sophomore I ran the 800M as well as the 300M hurdles. Junior year I switched my focus to the hurdles, and I earned a fifth place finish and all state honors in the 300m hurdles( with a time of 44). In 2010, I  ran the 400M hurdles at the youth national championships in Sacramento, CA and received 8th place, making me an All-American. This past summer I ran the 4x800 relay at nationals at we placed fifth, again earning All-American honors. I am really looking forward to making excellent improvements this year, and making this an awesome senior year, not only on the track, but also in the classroom.
