Hi my name is Sophia Ramirez, I live in Washington IL and attended Washington Community High School. My love for running came in 6th grade when i joined the XC and track team. I learned quickly that I am very competitive and am always trying to push myself to do better. My freshman year I placed 11th in state for XC and 5th in state for the mile in track. My 2023 XC season did go as planned due to an injury which kept me from running to my full potential. It taught me that setbacks happen and that's ok. I look forward to seeing what my 2024 track season has in store for me. I am very involved in school and work hard to keep my grades up. I have learned how to balance my athletics with my academics. I look forward to running in College and pushing myself to higher levels.
