2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My pole vaulting experience started out with watching my older brother. I started out left handed, due to a knee surgery from a cross country injury, my freshman year. I went 8'6" for that season. I switched to right handed my sophomore year getting my school record of 9'1". I've pushed myself harder every time. I'm dedicated to my education, my team and family. I joined a club team with support from my family to better myself as an athlete and to achieve more from the sport I love.
