Jaquilyn Spear '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a well-rounded student-athlete. I have big goals and ambitions, and I know what I want. I always chase after what I want. I believe in putting in the work and effort, and that hard work beats talent. My dream is to throw discus in college. I've worked so hard to get where I am, and I'm still nowhere close to being done. I would describe myself as kind, a leader, a hard worker, determined, and, overall, just a happy person. Not only is it my athletics that are important to me, but my academics as well. I always put them first, but I know how to balance everything in my life very well. I am a good candadite for any team because no matter how hard a challenge is, I will never back down, and I'm not afraid to fail because when you fail, you learn the most, and if I never failed, I wouldn't be where I am today. I have always faced everything in my life that has been thrown at me with a positive attitude and a positive outlook.
