Hi! My name is Jena Weiler and I am class of 2027 at East Central High School in St. Leon, Indiana. Running has been my passion for as long as I knew how to run, I always beat all the boys in the mile in elementary, but due to an inability of having a ride to practice I was never able to join Girls on The Run or Cross Country. Until however my 7th grade year when I was finally able to show my parents how much running meant to me and I did not let them down and competed at state both 7th and 8th grade year. I run cross country and Track & Field. My 5k PR is 18:58 and through my hard work in and outside of practice I hope to next season, be able to break 18:25 and move into the #2 spot in my school history. I love Distance a lot but I am comfortable in any event and I have a deep love for sprint events as well. Coming into my freshman year for track I am very enthusiastic about what is to come and I am ready to train hard and get amazing new teammates. As a runner I believe that I have acquired a second family. An amazing team is what I find to be almost the most important part of the sport. Great coaches and teammates are what have helped push myself harder everyday.
In the classroom I am able to maintain straight A's and I have never struggled to do so. I am a part of National Honor Society and FCCLA and a former member of FFA.
