Personal Statement
I treasure the opportunity to present myself as the current national triple jump champion of Belgium in my age group (2006-2007). Since the age of 7, I have been passionately involved in competitive sports, dedicating five to six days every week to training. Currently, my main discipline is triple jump, where I have achieved a personal best of 38’10’’. I also train occasionally in high jump, with a personal best of 5’4’’.
My dream is to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in a field related to biology and chemistry, which will allow me to study further my favorite science subjects while opening a wide variety of career opportunities upon graduation. I believe I have demonstrated that with hard work, commitment, and discipline I have achieved notable results both as a student and as an athlete.
In July 2024, I am set to graduate from The European School of Brussels, one of Belgium’s most esteemed international schools. During my time at the school, I achieved mother tongue-level proficiency in French, which was my main language of instruction, and full professional proficiency in English. I have participated in several international sports and language camps in Europe and the USA, where I have enjoyed meeting and working with people from different cultures and backgrounds. My majors are natural sciences, with a focus on biology, chemistry, and mathematics. I am proud to maintain a GPA of 9.1 out of 10.
