Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Sidney Shaw and I am an Australian race walker. I have competed in 7 national championships, placing 5th in the 2021 Australian Track and Field Championships 5000m race walk. I would be an excellent candidate for your team because of my passion for athletics and drive to continuously improve despite any hardships. I belief that I am different from other recruits because of my drive, I thrive off improvement and I am always looking to better myself in athletics, academics and as a person. As a result of this, I was able to significantly improve my grades and even be awarded the merit certificate of commitment to studies and numerous academic achievement awards. It has also supported me greatly in my athletics journey, I have been able to continue to improve my placings and times which lead to me receiving the local sporting champions award from MP Andrew Leigh. I know I would be a great addition to your team and I look forward to hearing from you, thank you!
