Personal Statement
My number one goal at this point in my young adult life is to attend a College in the United States of America. I have been dreaming about this since I was a young child new on the track and field. America is a place where dreams come true and where there are numerous more opportunities that I feel South Africa could never offer. I would make a good candidate for athletic teams because I am perseverant, dedicated, self disciplined, optimistic and most importantly I have a deep passion for athletics. What makes me unique from other recruits is that I have a strong sense of motivation, resiliency and the ability to always learn from my defeats. I am a very sociable young woman and I'm always willing to help and learn from my peers. My academics are equally as important as my athletics and I always do the utmost best at all times. I have always put 101% effort in everything that I do from when I got Western Province Colours for Gymnastics as a young child to representing Western Province Indoor Netball and now to my real passion, athletics. It would be the start of a new chapter in my life that I'm thrilled to take and I would be forever grateful to get given this life changing opportunity. Thank you.
