Personal Statement
Track and field has become a major part of my life in the last year and a half. I have started training for track and field seriously in 2021, ever since my love grew for it. Track has thought me patience, disappointment, hard work, determination, to try new things and trust. I have tired many new events in the past year and fell in love with all, I went from a 100 and 200m sprinter to a heptathlon athlete, to a 400mh hurdler and to a lover of long jump and many more. My experience has been a roller coaster to missing international meets by less than a second, to missing the podium by one point, to crying on national television when I messed up my races or jumps but this has never stopped my passion for track. Training with national athletes and new coaches has thought me that support is always needed which I always get from my both parents and coaches and that not everyone's path is the same. I have shed tears of joys and sorrows on the track, but I never want to give up my therapy called athletics. I would like to broaden my experiences with track and field in my years to come and continue to walk with God in everything I do.
