- 2022 Highlights
Personal Statement
Suffered injury during COVID lockdown (stress fracture of the right foot) in 2020 that compromised a few seasons (2020-2022). I competed in 2022 anyway (but not 100%). Planning for a strong 2023 Season.
Obviously, I love running, I have too many hobbies and can never find the time to do them all, and I don’t like writing emails. Friends have always described me as the creative one and the busiest because all my weekends are full of competitions and if they aren’t then I rather stay home and rest. In 2020 I was in the top 10 ranking of Switzerland in 200m as a U16 with 26.70, then Covid came, and by training alone in very different conditions than usual (the track was closed) I got an injury (stress fracture) that lasted about 2 years, of which I am still recovering. Currently, even if I could not fully train last winter, I’m Champion of Geneva (CH) for 100m and 200m, finalist in the Region, and 36th Swiss overall for U18 (100m: 12.78 and 200m: 26.37). This is still far from my full potential, and my coach (Frida Svensson) is planning a more intense and complete strength training this winter. The plan is to shift towards 200m and 400m, and I feel that I have greater potential in those events to be in the top Swiss and Italian athletes U20.
I am also an excellent student in an international school in France and I speak fluently English, French, and Italian. As a hobby, I play cello with a private teacher and in a local Orchestra.
