Personal Statement

Since I was little, my parents taught me that life without clearly defined goals is like driving without a destination.  I have always been very goal driven and competitive.  I feel that I would make a great candidate for a running team because I have great energy, love being apart of a team and maintain a positive can-do attitude.  I am very disciplined and focused, I believe what makes me different than other recruits is that although distance running is primarily a solo-sport, foundationally I believe that excellence is found in a team and in a community.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsFor the past three years, I have been in honor roll, high honors with distinction, and the head of school placement. I was presented the Candice Paul Scholarship award; the award is presented to one student in the entire school. The Candice Paul Award "Is presented to the student who demonstrates those qualities that best exemplify true kindness, and spirit towards others." At my old school I was selected a role as an ambassador, I did hosted and ran school open houses, school fundraisers, and games. I presented new ideas to my peers every week at school assemblies, I represented the school body. I did two years of Finical Literacy both classes and an extra club, meaning I learned the routes and ways of finance, the economics of the world and history behind trade.
  • ActivitiesI play piano, I have been playing 3 years, I have a love, and yearn for music. I think the beauty of music is the passion, and will to create. I practice with The Royal Conservatory, and will continue through the years. Writing is my passion. I am a writer, I enjoy most types of writing, but formal writing is my strong suit. I really enjoy the freedom, and release writing gives me. whether its on history, a report, fantasy/fiction I have so much enthusiasm, and enjoyment i gain from finishing a piece.
