Personal Statement
At the age of 5 I started running for the fun with my older brother when he was exercising. I never stopped competing since. I am a sprinter and have always done the 100m and he 200m.
My coach is Jaun Strydom and our group trains six days a week at the TUKS Athletic Stadium. Out training group consist mostly out of students and I am currently one of the youngest members in the group.
I am extremely focus and goal driven and I get along easily with others. Although I may hate the training my motto is “Don’t quite, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a Champion”
I hopes to again qualify for the SA Championships in 2017 but my biggest dream would be to participate at the 2017 World Junior Athletics Championships.
My best performance, but also biggest disappointment, was when I finished 4 in the 100m finals for girls under 15 at the 2015 SA Championships, missing out on bronze by one thousands of a second.
Athletics has become a way of life for me and has taught me so many things about myself.
