Personal Statement
I am an athlete who is coachable. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to listen attentively and implement criticism effectively. I approach every practice and competition with resilience and an open-mind to learn from coaches, teammates, and even my own challenges.
At 10 years old, I have embraced the obstacles and rewards that track and field brings. My passion for track and field will only continue to grow, and the opportunity to become a collegiate sprinter is a dream come true. I have competed in multiple international competitions, such as the Oceania Championships 2022, Pacific Mini Games 2022, and the Oceania Cup 2023. I have qualified to represent American Samoa in the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 and the Pacific Games in November 2023. My goal is to consistently clock mid 11s and represent American Samoa in the Olympics.
I recognize the importance of maintaining a balanced life. Being a part of the 19th Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands Youth Congress, a National Honor Society member for three years, and the creator of a FREE week long summer sports program named The Youth Summer Sports Blitz. I am well-prepared to manage the demands of both my studies and my commitment as an athlete.
