Personal Statement
The highlights of my athletic career helped me grow as an individual, and increased my determination to be selected back onto the South Yorkshire English Schools team for a second year in a row. I have won the North of England Indoor Championship High Jump as a U17, placed 4th in the U17 English Indoor Championships, and was also Yorkshire County High Jump Champion, the largest county in the UK, and therefore was selected to represent them at an inter-county level.
The athletic opportunities in the US college system, far exceed anything that British universities can offer. I am looking for a program in the US that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. Therefore, I am looking for a university where I can pursue a degree while competing at the highest level possible. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work ethic and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
