Personal Statement

Being nominated by the IAAF to represent Namibia (after our team participated in the African Youth Games in Algeria in 2018), to go to the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, was the highlight of my career. My biggest disappointment however was when my country decided not to send any track & field athlete to the Youth Olympics due to a lack of funds. That experience motivated me to work even harder.

As the National High School Champion in discus and shot-put for 5 years in a row, I have learned that success is possible without any official coaching and very limited facilities. I am looking for a program that can give me opportunities and help me athletically and academically. With my positive attitude, character and commitment, I feel I can excel in the right program and be a contribution to your team.
