I have aways had a love for track & field. Starting with Hershey track meets in 5th grade really sparked the love of the sport. My love for track continued into junior high and high school where my team was the conference champs in all four of those years. My freshman and sophomore seasons I was also very fortunate to qualify for state in multiple events each year, and placed 6th in the 400m hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay last season.
I grew the most as a student-athlete when I had to start giving a pep talk to one of my teammates who didn’t feel confident in herself. Through my years in track so far I have learned to value teammates, dedication, hard work, and leadership. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me with my athletics, but fit my academics as well. I firmly believe that not only will I be a fierce competitor for a college team, but I also have the attitude, leadership, and work ethic to make a dramatic impact on your program. Being a 4-sport athlete, I know I have what it takes to show leadership on your team.
