Going into college I aim to be a good teammate first and foremost. I also have goals to expand my knowledge of throwing and specifically on technique and how to improve my overall skills. A couple of other important goals I stride towards are to be a strong competitor in my events, throughout my collegiate career I want to place in the top 5, at minimum, at majority of the meets we attend, and finally I want to remember not to get too anxious and just have fun with throwing, while remembering to be serious at the same time. Most importantly I aspire to improve and advance my current and future throwing skills. By advancing these skills and my technique I know that I can succeed, especially since I pick up on notes or information that is given to me and understand it fast, in other words I am a fast learner.
Reasons why I am a good candidate for your team is because I am strong, determined, very teachable, a good, supportive teammate, and I will always be there for my teammates to support and encourage them to reach their goals even on the rainiest of days. Another good reason is that I know my limits and how to push myself beyond them to become a better thrower and teammate, as well as never giving up on my teammates because if being from a small town has taught me anything it is that your teammates are family and will always lift you up no mater the circumstance. I am different from your other recruits because of who I am as a person, knowing when to take break and when to push yourself. Athletically I am ahead of many of my competitors my age, but that to me doesn't matter because I know that there will always be somebody better than me, which I like because it makes me and fuels my fire to get better. My grades are good no C's and below and very seldom do I get a B-. I love learning and am eager to learn more. The one thing that makes me stand out the most is that I will never give up, I will fight for my team and help us to be united. Coming from a small school were everybody knows everybody it may be hard to come together, but I can honestly say that no matter the size of a team I will always know everybody's name and at least know something about them because I will be a friend to everyone because of the simple fact that we are teammates. If our team is united and a safe place then it can help us all to help each other in succeeding and always pushing ourselves. I want my future coaches and team to know that you can always count on me because the value of family is very important to me and I want even the biggest of teams to be strong mentally and physically so we can succeed together. Lastly I want you to know that I will always encourage and be there to help my future team because encouragement and support from your team will help us to be there for one another like family and I can be that person in the "family" that can help them to calm down when the pressure gets too hard.
