hi, my name is Shukura. I’m looking for a team that I will help me build confidence in myself and sports. A place where I can feel comfortable being myself. I want to be on a team that will help me in my future to uplift me, and that cares about its athletes mental health.
I feel I will be a great fit for any team because I'm goal orientated . Once a plan is in motion I see it through til the end! I am very focused on life and I always try and be a leader but I also know when to take a step back and let other people lead. Another thing that makes me a good candidate is I take my education very serious. my parents have always made it clear "You can not hit the field without hitting those books!"
Besides my height my attitude makes me different. I see the good in people until I'm shown different. I like to get my own take on people. In academics what sets me apart from most is that I'm in all honors class in school! I was in traditional schools until I got to fifth grade (we moved)! I was A's and B's until covid shut down our schools. Was so happy to go back junior year. In athletics people see my height and just assume I play basketball or volleyball, so then I tell them i jump hurdles and that sparks a bigger convo. I am very versatile in sports track is just my main focus.
