I set the bar high for myself with my goals and aspirations in life, academics and athletics. I have been a competitor all my life and I train consistently to compete at the level I expect for myself. I plan to continue to lead our state in numerous Track and Field events and eventually represent a high standard of excellence on and off the field at the College level. I recently began competing in USATF events during the summer as to continue growing and placed 1st at the state and regional level and 7th at the National Championships in Greenville NC in 2013. I competed in the Heptathlon at the USATF Regional meet in Michigan where I gained interest in numerous events I had previously never attempted. I just recently began identifying steps I need to take to push me to the next level in those events in order to achieve my goal of multiple state titles not only in High Jump but in the long, 200 & 400 events. Specialized strength and speed training has steadily improved my value as an athlete suited for top Track & Field programs across the country. My ultimate goal is to represent the USA as an Olympic athlete and I feel my dedication, determination, attitude and continued training will allow me to achieve this life-long dream. My competitive nature and hunger to be the best at whatever I do will also provide me with the Athletic and Academic Success in years to come to be a shining light on the University I attend, the people I surround myself with and the career path I take as an adult.
