Hi, my name is Amaya Shine. I was born in Iowa and raised in Louisiana. I live in Leesville, La. and I go to Rosepine High School. I am a sophomore this year and I graduate in 2025. I run track and play basketball. While playing these sports I manage to get my work done and maintain over a 3.5 gpa.
I started running my track my 8th grade year ,my 7th grade year got cut short because of COVID-19. I train 3 times a week for track to help improve my speed. With the coaches I have now I think I can improve because they push me to be the best I can be. I also run the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash,4x1, 4x2, 4x4. Running my first year of Track I was very successful. In fact, I made it to regionals and ran a 12.96 and got 1st place and I went onto State ran a 12.65 broke my own record and got 3rd place.
I would like to go a college that would help me and be a good fit for me to run track!
