One goal that I've always have had since I started running track six years ago was to run track in college. I knew that if I wanted to achieve this goal I would have to work hard. To make sure that this goal is achieved I have always made sure that my grades were passing, so I'd be eligible to run. I've also made sure that my grades were the highest I could possibly make them. Second I made sure that I was working my hardest and doing the best I could during meets and especially practices. All coaches who have coached me throughout the years have told me to practice like I'm in a meet and push myself to become better. Since I was a freshman I have made a goal to go to states every year for track. So far this goal has been met and I plan on completing this goal this spring during the outdoor season. Along with this goal I have set other goals as well. This past season, my junior year I made four goals for the Western Maine Conference Meet that corresponded with each event that I participated in. At the end of the meet I had met all four of my goals. At my school on the track team we have a motto we go by, "See a positive say a positive". Everyday at practice and at meets we go by this. It gives the whole atmosphere of the team good positive vibes, and it doesn't let negativity get in the way of running our best and achieving our goals.
