Hey! My name is Bailey Stoddard-Baughman and I am a track athlete from southern Maine. I am definitely planning on furthering my athletic career in college. I love the feeling of being on a team and I think the bond you have with teammates is unlike any other. I have fallen in love with everything about the sport and I am committed to bettering my abilities. In the past year, I have begun to focus on triple jump and hurdles. I feel that I have the potential to be better than I am and I want to prove that after high school. My coaches would tell you I am one of the most dedicated athletes on the team and I strive to do better every meet and practice. In triple jump, I only began last year in outdoor and I am ranked 6th in the Class A division in Maine. As for hurdles, I only started this past outdoor season, but I quickly fell in love with it. I have been determined to perfect my form and enhance my endurance to get better times. I started the 55m hurdles this indoor season and I am ranked third in the state currently. I am definitely only just beginning. I am qualified for nationals in the hurdles for indoor. I plan to run the 100m hurdles in outdoor as well as the 300m hurdles. Last outdoor season, I was the first leg of the 4x100 and we broke our school record with a time of 49.00. We have the southwesterns record and state record currently.
