Personal Statement

Hello! I’m Alison Borowski and what makes me a different or a unique player is that I don’t give up. I am determined to achieve my goals and learn from my simple mistakes or judges. I do not argue with my team nor the coaches, plus I understand troubles and give full respect. Every race no matter the weather, I will try my best. I can be a fun player but during game time or practice, I focus. My reaction time is quick with touch, along with speed and of course the smarts on the field.

My overall goal is to achieve high in academics and sports in general. As a goal, I hope to play on an advanced level of either soccer or track, as I am a multi-sport athlete, although I do understand I must choose one so I can compete at my highest potential at this level of competition.

Over the years, track and cross country has taught me not only teamwork and leadership in some ways, but also determination with hard work with consistency to improve results. I have developed a growth working mindset to help me along this path as well. I would love to improve on my weaknesses, and continue to improve my technique in running as well.

Finally, I may not be from the highest income family, but I try my best to find a way to improve at anything. I work very hard at the things I do and I want to succeed greater than anything. I want to make my family and town proud of me, and the potential I have as a future college student athlete after 2024.

At this moment I may be only a Sophomore in the Alpena High School, but I‘m up for the new challenges that come my way! Thank you.(2021)
