Athleticism runs in my blood. As the fourth born and baby in my family, I have always had to compete, and that competition has led me to where I am today. The past two years have not gone quite as planned. Freshman year was derailed by Covid-19 and then once athletics started back up again, I tore my ACL during basketball. It has been a year-long recovery process, but that process had made me stronger and hungrier than ever before. My physical therapists will tell you that I worked harder than anyone they know and have made a full recovery. I am stronger than when I started and I can't wait to run this year.
Having to come back from an injury doesn't make me unique, but it does make me appreciate what it takes. I believe in working for what you want, and I won't stop until I have surpassed my goals.
I am a three sport high school athlete. I play volleyball, basketball and run track. My favorite event is the hurdles. I am looking to attend a college where I can continue to pursue my track goals, earn a business degree and eventually get into real estate.
