Sydney Hawkins '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Sydney Hawkins. Currently I am entering my senior year at Flushing High School. Track has been an interesting sport for me throughout my life. My first year participating in the Flushing High School track team was my sophomore year. This previous season I earned the oprtunity to compete at Division One State Finals, where I placed eighth in the 200m dash and third in the 400m dash breaking our school record with a time of 56.92. I enjoy track and I commit myself to getting better. In addition to track I have a passion for basketball. I’ve played basketball ever since I was little. I played on the freshman and JV team. My junior year has been my first year on varsity. It is my goal to graduate high school with a GPA between 3.4 and a 4.0. Once I finish college I would like to be a college athlete. I plan to attend this college for four years; following this I plan to attend law school. It is my dream to be an attorney. After law school it is my plan to join the military and serve as a JAG officer for period of five to ten years or I plan to join a law firm out of college.
