My goals for college are to do well both academically and athletically. Academically I will maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 minimum. Athletically I want to push myself to break my personal records. In addition to that I want to help my team meet their goals as well.
I am always the first one to motive everyone on my team to reach their goals in both cross country and track. In cross country my coach saw how much effort and time I put into helping everyone else to reach their goals and subsequently made me team captain of the team as a junior ahead of all the seniors on the team.
What makes me different athletically is my work ethic. My training doesn't stop once the season is over. I am constantly running in my free time, in the off season I usually run at least two times a day. In addition to that I am an extremely determined person, especially when it comes to goals I set for myself. For example my sophomore year I wanted to complete the 3200 meter run in 12 minutes. I worked all season to hit that mark and I ended up finishing the season with a best time of 12 minutes and 3 seconds.
The work ethic I show athletically is also what separates me from my peers academically. In my freshman year of high school I took two math classes and in sophomore year I took two science classes when typically most students can only take one of each. I did this to get ahead in my class schedule so that I could take classes at local college while I am still in high school despite doing this and consistently taking hardest classes available to me I still maintain a GPA of 3.8.
The goals that I have for this year are to do well on my SAT and ACT to the scores that I want them to be. The score that I want for my SAT are 1100 then for the ACT is to get a 24. Besides doing well on my testing scores, I also want to break my personal records in track. I want to go under 12 minutes for my 3200 then for the 1600 is to go under 5 minutes and 30 seconds. With these goals I am determined to achieve them by the end of this year.
