I have always enjoyed being outdoors; running, biking and swimming. I remember as child entering 5K’s with my family, and then entering triathlons and wanting to become faster. I attended a small private school up through middle school that didn’t have a track program. I braved the unknown and attended track practices with the local public school where I didn’t know anyone. Then, I attended Pinckney Community High School and knew I wanted to join their track and field team my freshman year. Throughout my years I’ve spent training, I have gained social, physical and emotional strength that can be applicable on and off the track. I enjoy the hard work required for track and field and I put forth my best effort at all times in order to improve my skills. I am excited to start a new chapter in my running career with experienced athletes and coaches who understand the importance of balancing both sports and academics, that will help me cut time and compete at the highest level I am capable.
Trying to choose a college has been so exciting. I can see myself going somewhere close to home as well as venturing somewhere WARM. I am ultimately seeking a college that will not only push me as a student-athlete, but one that will allow me to build strong relationships, to create lasting memories with both teammates and coaches, and help me fulfill my dream of becoming an athletic trainer for the military.
I aspire to be a positive influence to everyone I encounter. My favorite organization to support is Special Olympics. I participate in the polar plunge every year. I have heart and determination and am always striving to being a better version of me. I am a very outgoing person and would bring lots of energy to the team! Overall, I am an easy going girl who loves to have fun, but also knows when and how to be serious. As a coach, you will not find a harder working or more ethical athlete. I want to be part of a program that strives for excellence and considers each other family. I am ready to dedicate 110% to myself to my next journey of becoming a college student-athlete.
