I'm Germanie King. I have been an athlete since I was a baby. The first sport I participated was dance. I did ballet, tap, jazz, hiphop, and gymnastic and I was the greatest I could be. I did dance since I was 3 years all the way until 5th grade. I was a dancer for a long time but also in my younger days time I did played baseball and was the only girl on my team in 2nd grade. In elementary there was a club called the running club and I was in that from 2nd grade until 5th grade. It was a club where you ran and then had one meet and you ran 1 mile for a race and it was over after that. I also played soccer in middle school for a season. I played volleyball for 2 seasons and was okay with it. I never made the school team but I was on the recreation teams. I played basketball for my middle school and also for the recreation teams. Then my 7th grade year I met the best sport I have ever fallen in love with, Track and Field. I join the track team and was a sprinter and also a thrower and till this day I still am thrower. My junior I have join the cross country for a season. I have played a total of 8 sports and I have fallen in love with track and field! Through all these sports I have received many awards and recognization but I have the most in track and field. I will continue to keep receiving awards and recognization until I get to the top.
At Heritage High School I do not take honor or AP classes because I test for honor classes and I never had enough points to get into the classes I wanted to be in. Since then my confidence went low because I try for so long and I try really hard but it didn't put me where I wanted to be. I also feel even though I'm not in honors or AP doesn't mean I'm not smart or I'm not good in school and doesn't have good grades. I have times where I had all A's and was not recognize for it because my school did not do the honor roll because we were already at a higher level.
What makes me a stronger person is my personality. My personality is very bubbly sweet and different. I'm not like a lot of people. I would consider myself cool and just a good person to communicate with. I'm a straight forward person. I do not sugar coat anything. I let it be known and I say what I think is right. What makes me, me is I'm who I am. Meaning I do not let anyone try to make me something that I aren't. I won't change my voice or my tone or my behavior for anyone unless its necessary. I am a leader in many different ways. I have been a leader in my grade for 3 years. I was president 2 out of the 3 years in middle school and is looking forward to run president for my senior year. I was secretary 1 out of the 3 years in middle school. I also was in the knots program where you help kids thats have special needs or that is not born like everybody else and needs help with certain things. Things I have done in my community is I volunteer for Mid Michigan Children Museum and I volunteer at the YMCA at the baby center and watch after the kids, while the parents go out and enjoy their workout.
In my future, I can see myself as a business women or even be involved in something that have something to do with math. I also see myself in the olympics throwing shot put. I'm welcome to go to any school that will offer me a scholarship and will help me make something out of me. I want to be something big and say "this college help me grow and made me what I am today". I also want to go to college in meet new people and learn stuff I can use in my life forever.
