Marissa Shute '25 Recruiting Profile

I was introduced to athletics at a young age and couldn't imagine my life without competing and learning all the life skills that athletics provides me on a daily basis.  I'm a hard working multi-sport student athlete (cross country, basketball and track) that dedicates 100% to everything I go after. I was raised with a strong commitment and work ethic and strive to achieve this through my academics, extra curricular activities and all sports I commit myself to.   Running has always been a passion of mine and something my family has enjoyed doing together and something I want to pursue at a higher level. 

What I bring to a team: I'm a hard worker, eager to learn and grow and a great leader and teammate. I love coaches who want me to be the best version of what I can be and help me reach the impossible. I'm always working to be better than yesterday.

I am looking for a program that would be a good athletic and academic fit for me. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program. As a three sport varsity athlete, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
