Hannah Claussen '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello!! My name is Hannah Claussen and I have been running track for only two years. When I first joined the girl's track team at Blaine High School as a Sophomore, I just wanted to get in shape of soccer. I ended up making the varsity track team and qualified for the Minnesota State Tournament in 3 events; 4oom, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay. It was such an amazing experience!! Running track turned into my new passion!! This last year, my Junior year, I was part of 2 State Championship relay teams.  With both relay teams, we broke the school record in both the 4x200 and 4x400. I also broke the school record in the 200m. I didn't think my Junior year could top the previous year, but it did!! And the most important part of this whole thing is we took 3rd in the entire State for girl's track. It was the best Blaine High School girl's track has ever done!! Track is such a big part of my life. I love my coaches, my teammates, and the competition. I have developed so many wonderful relationships. I cannot wait to see what my Senior year brings, especially since I have been voted captain, which is an incredibly important honor to me. I am confident that my work hard work, determination and leadership will help make my Senior year a special one.
