I have been competitively figure skating for going on 11 years, and now am starting a journey through track and field. I went out for track my Sophomore year but only got about a week into practice before Covid-19 hit. My Junior year I came back and was ready for my first full season. At the beginning I discovered that I had a talent for jumps, and I think figure skating definitely set me up for success on my jumping abilities. I really loved the feeling of trying to beat your own score/time in track. During my Junior season I found a great love for jumps and sprints. Also, the track team I compete with is awesome, everybody is encouraging and wants nothing else than for every person that steps out onto the track to compete or race, to do their best and have a ton of fun. I loved the positive, fun community track had provided for me that I applied to be Captain for the 2022 season. I received the Captain position from my teammates and coaches for next season, and my goal is for everyone on the team to really find a love and passion for track and figure out how to become the best athlete they can be. I love competing, I've been competing in sports activities since I was 7 and I am really passionate about it. I always strive to make myself both a better person and athlete. I would describe myself as a very outgoing, super fun, positive person, and I'm sure my family and friends would as well. I am super excited for my senior year of track and really ready to beat my best scores from last year.
