I knew track was the sport for me when I first started in the fifth grade. I loved how there were so many events that challenged me physically and mentally. My goal in track is to become the best athlete I can possibly be and learn in the process. So far, I have learned that I need to put in the work to get the best results possible, and to make my mind stronger than my body. I have also learned from gymnastics that the quote, “fall down seven times stand up eight” is extremely important to follow because it shows the strength to never give up and to always be positive.
Sports have been a part of my life since I was the age of two. I started competing in individual sports at the age of eight. I have learned not only to be a good competitor but to also grow from my mistakes and to be a good sport no matter what I do. I take academics very seriously and I am looking for a school that can help me succeed both athletically and academically. I would be a great asset to your program because I am eager to learn, I’m passionate about track and I’m a very positive person.
