What sets me apart as a student- athlete? The fact that my cheerleading team voted me as 'Most Diligent' last season and 'Hardest Worker' the season before. It meant a lot to have 20 of my peers notice the effort that I put into cheerleading, and track is no different for me. I am always working to become a better athlete. More importantly though, I'm genuinely interested in the classes I take- I think my grades are a reflection of the passion that I have for learning, and not necessarily the countless hours I spend studying. I want to run track in college so that I can continue to strive to become the best athlete that I can be. As a student-athlete, I will always do more than what is expected of me, be a supportive team-mate, and continue in my passion for learning- on and off the track.
