My Mom always tells me the story of how I, as an infant, skipped the crawling phase and instead began running. I love being active in anyway possible. If I’m not running I’m rock climbing; if I’m not rock climbing I’m kayaking and so on. Whatever it is I’m doing, I put my best effort in the activity and I know participating in collegiate sports is a rare opportunity that I would dream to be a part of.
I train all year and am known for my upper-body strength. Although I am not captain of the track team, I lead for change, and above all, a vision that allows me to focus on the key issues that truly need attention. Being open to change, as I am, I take developmental criticism very well and immediately apply it to my training to improve my skills.
Academically, I work just as hard as I do in track and sustain a high GPA while applying myself to clubs and organizations like: Humanitarian Club and Human Occupations Students of America.
Personally, I learn most efficiently when I experience a field of learning. So I am making it my job to become a part of participating in collegiate sports. I’m going to pursue my dream of helping others medically because I’m inspired to challenge myself, and put a permanent smile on my parents faces.
