Kaelyn McKenzie '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing sports since I was four years old, participating in basketball, softball, cheer and gymnastics. Since I started playing, I aspired to play sports at the collegiate level, which I understand is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my life. Each sport has taught me many lessons that have helped me not only in sports, but in life. Being a part of multiple sports has taught me to work with and respect different types of people and coaches, which is valuable in all aspects of life, inside and outside of sports.

I have strong skills and mental toughness. I work hard year round on my skills, currently participating in high school Volleyball, Softball and Track and Field. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while encouraging my teammates. I am extremely coachable and I strive to be one of the hardest working players and will be one of the hardest working recruits you will find.  

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom, as well as sports. My grades are important to me and I have worked hard to achieve balance between academics and extracurricular activities in order to be successful in both. My current course load has helped to prepare me for the challenge of balancing college academics and athletics in the future. I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a role model in my community and make my family proud.
