Madeleine O’Donnell '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a rising Senior at Chatham High School in Chatham, New Jersey. I just began track during the 2022-2023 Winter season of my Sophomore year, and since then I have fell in love with the sport and want to further my Track & Field career throughout college. I am a very coachable athlete and I am always looking for ways to improve not only my times, but also my technique and strength. I am a mid-distance runner as well as a high jumper for the Varsity Track & Field team at Chatham High School. 

On June 2023, my 4x400 relay (High School) competed in the Championship Division at New Balance Outdoor Nationals, under Jaguar Track Club, running a 3:59.52, and personally running a 60.17 split as the 3rd leg of the race. My High School 4x400 team also competed at NJSIAA North 2 Sectionals Groups 2 & 3 placing 2nd after running a 4:01.32. Then continuing to compete at the NJSIAA Group 3 State Championships placing 4th overall and running a 3:57.94, and finally at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions running a 3:59.22 placing 10th overall. 

In November, 2022, I received the Coaches Award for my for my accomplishments in Cross Country. In addition in June of 2022 I made Second Team All-Conference and my 4x400 relay made First Team All-County. 

Overall I would like to compete at a competitive level of track at a college where I can also further my academics.
