Emma Preissman '26 Recruiting Profile

Since I was little, I have always wanted to be a collegiate athlete. From a young age, my original passion revolved around the sport of soccer. I always used running along with speed and agility to keep me in shape. With that, I ended up with adoration towards both sports. However, running became the main foundation for me mentally, physically and just for all around fun. My whole middle school athletic career was Cross Country, which I was undefeated for my division and in track and field where I was undefeated for the 1600m in my division. I continued to pursue track and field in high school competing in Winter and Spring Track. I love being part of a team. I enjoy working hard each day to reach my personal and team goals. I proved to be a necessary component to help my team win many events whether it be a relay or an individual event. This past winter season, I was grateful to be a part of a successful DMR where I ran the 800 leg to help secure an All-American 4th place finish at Nike Nationals and to finish my spring track season at the State Championships where I had my personal best of a 2:20 for the 800m and 5:12 for the 1600m. I am looking forward to continue to grow through the summer, working on foot speed to excel in my events and bring high energy to secure another successful indoor/outdoor season. Stay tuned.
