Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Valerie. I was a gymnast from when I was 6 years old up until freshman year of highschool. I really wanted to do highschool gymnastics, but my school is small and didn't have a team. As an alternate, my friends convinced me to join Track and Field, and I started in the spring of my freshman year. My coach found out I was previously a gymnast, and tried me out for all the jumping events. I ended up doing best at long jump and triple jump, as well as spritinting. I soon fell in love with jumping, and push myself to the best I can be.
