Sophia Saadi '26 Recruiting Profile

When I first stepped foot into the Armory in NYC as an eighth-grader running varsity, I automatically knew that that was where I belonged. After a handful of meets competing against Ivy League and Independent prep schools, I found a love for the competition. Since then, I've competed in various USATF meets running unattached or for my club team.Throughout the years, I've had some minor setbacks that have only strengthened my mindset to continue to keep improving as a young female athlete. Not only did I take up throwing javelin as another opportunity to score points and participate, I have now found a new passion and strive for the competition while staying motived to strengthen myself for the better. I have conquered every opportunity I get to take each individual event and put my all onto the track and field. Similarly, I have the same amount of motivation and hardworking grit when it comes to my academics. As a student-athlete, it's most important to me that I continue to succeed not only on the track and the field, but in school as well.
