Hello, my name is Taylor Phillips, I am a student athlete at Eden High School. I compete on our varsity cheerleading team and I run for our track and field team. I aspire to go to college and compete on a team and break school records and personal records for myself. My coaches would tell you that I am a hard worker. If I want to reach a goal will do everything in my power to reach that goal and beat it. I make sure I am always at practice early to get warmed up and I always make sure all my grades are above a 95. Academic wise, my teachers would say I am an amazing student, my work is always done on time, I always do well on my tests, and my grades like I said are always above 90-95. I set standards for myself so I don’t fall behind because I care about my grades and my ability to compete for my sport because my team counts on me and i count on them. This is why i always make sure my work is done. I am a leader, I help my teammates out if they need it and I will step in if help is needed. I can be funny and comedic when it’s time to be but when it’s meant to be serious I am always there and ready. This is what makes me different than other recruits. I fought for my place. I was diagnosed with anorexia last year, because of this my doctor told me i might not be able to compete in my sport, this made me do everything in my power to bounce back so i was able to be compete because i love sports and i don’t know what i would do if i couldn’t compete. Now i am healthy and in shape and excited for coaches to read this message and share my athletic and academic ability.
