As an athlete from a very young age I have applied myself to be my very best, no matter what the sport, whether it be martial arts, sailing, basketball, swimming, softball, etc. During my sophomore year I decided to join my high school track team as my speed was always pointed out by various coaches. I was also aware that I was joining a very successful track team lead by Coach Levy. Soon after joining the North Shore cross-country track team, during the fall of 2023, I was thrilled to be promoted to varsity level. Being part of the team, I realize that my dedication is key, not only for my individual success, but also for the team’s overall success. As the vice president of our track team, I always look for team-building opportunities to help others see their potential. I feel it’s very important to lead by example by not missing practice or any team events.
I also realize the importance of being well-rounded in my academics and was recently accepted into the National Honor Society. In addition, I value community service and volunteer on a regular basis to tutor students, assist at the local library, help at the food pantry, etc. I’m an active member in various clubs at my school such as the yearbook committee, cooking club and key club. As a responsible young adult, I have worked part-time since I was 14 years old at the local hardware store.
As my profile outlines, I have obtained various goals during my short time with track by being awarded medals such as All American at the outdoor Nike Nationals held during the spring of 2024. More recently, during the fall of 2024, I was awarded All State as well as All NY Federation for Cross-Country. I continuously work to set goals to reach new levels of achievements with track. I feel my dedication and commitment to excel with track will provide a valuable contribution to your team.
