Brianna Port '17 Recruiting Profile

It has always been my dream to be on a college track and field team. I strive to get better everyday. I work as hard as I can to get where I want to go because I know nothing will be handed to me. I'm an independent, determined, and strong minded person. I was moved to varsity track in the 8th grade for field events and for the 4x100mr and 100m dash. I do high jump, long jump, and triple jump. I stopped doing long and triple jump after 7th grade for a while. I started to do long jump again my freshman year and triple jump my sophmore year in outdoor. Most people run track because they want to stay in shape or to be with their friends. I run track because I love the excitement during the 4x400mr when everyone is screaming your name to push you to try to catch up to or beat the other team, or doing long jump, triple jump, or high jump.. I love the feeling of getting one inch,a foot, or a second ahead of my p.r. The thrill is amazing. I'm very responsible and respectful to others. The other sport I play is Volleyball for my school and the Sacandaga Club. I still strive to make every p.r. count. Also, my time for the 45mr was a 6.6sec and my time for the 800m is 2:40. I know if you chose me, I will work to my fullest ability and won't let you down with all my love and dedication to this sport.
