My name is Arie’anna Rufus and I attend Franklinton High School in NC, as a rising senior. I was first introduced to Track & Field at the young age of 8 years old and over the years I have built a great passion and deep love for the sport. Over the years I have done field and running events; such as long jump, 400, 200, 800, and 100. However, my "specialty"/ main events are 400, 200, and 100. For the 400 my current pr is 57.43, the 200 is 25.88, and the 100 is 12.06. When it comes to Track and Field, I train hard and with my whole being, even focusing on what you wouldn't think of; such as your diet and what you put into your body—making sure that it aligns with what I am doing, for it to be able to support me and the goals that I am trying to reach. I have a strong and unwavering work ethic, demonstrated even when no one is watching.
This unwavering work ethic has been shown throughout my High School career at Franklinton. I have received MVP Awards throughout the seasons, (Spring 2021-2022, Winter 2022-2023, Spring 2022-2023, and Spring 2023-2024) while also competing at states and National meets throughout my High School career. Additionally, I have been playing tennis for two seasons, on the varsity team-receiving the most improved award during my 2nd season of Tennis. My unwavering work ethic has also been shown through my academics and extracurricular activities. Currently, I have a 3.9500 weighted GPA of a 4.0 grading scale with (2) A/B Honor Roll certificates, an individual academic award in Horticulture, and was picked for the student of the month in Biology Honors. When it comes to extracurricular activities, clubs, and programs I don't disappoint. I am in a total of 9 extracurricular activities including 3 clubs, 4 societies, and 1 program. I am in the Book Club, Intramural Sports Club, and Project Unify Club. Additionally, I am in the National Honors Society, National Achievers Society, National Technical Society, and National Society of High School Scholars; while also in the Upward Bound Trio Program, where I received the Directors Recipient Award.
I hope this helps you gain a little insight into me as a person and I hope you deem me fit for your college/university. In recruiting me, you are not just getting an athlete-student; you are getting a student-athlete who is a driven, high-achieving team player who is hard-working.
