I am interested in attending a college where I can pursue my passion for running and be in a strong academic program. For as long as I can remember, running has always been something I have truly enjoyed whether it was while playing soccer or in other sports. I have always felt a lot of pride in being fast and I love learning about the details that go into running. Once I had the opportunity to be on the track team in 7th grade, I was able to combine my love for running with my love for learning technique with the hurdles. This is when I started to realize I wanted to pursue the sport long-term. I found it very exciting every time I realized something new that made my form more efficient or when something clicked in my head and all of a sudden hurdling became easier than before. There are challenges presented with hurdling, but I always have embraced these challenges with focus and determination. I was fortunate to have had successful and very fun indoor and outdoor seasons my sophomore year that solidified my genuine interest and commitment to run track after high school. I would look forward to the opportunity to continue to work hard, keep improving, and contribute to the success of a college track program. Thank you for your interest!
