Hello! My name is Maddie Betz and I am currently a junior at Avon Lake High School (D1) in Avon Lake, Ohio. After playing soccer for 10 years I decided to focus on track freshmen year of high school, along with running cross country for the first time in my junior year. I am looking into studying pre-med and biology in college to be an orthopedic surgeon. With that, I aspire to run track in college as it is a great stress reliever and a source of a social network. While track and field is often seen as an individual sport, I greatly value the team aspect and support that comes about. I am frequently seen as a leader on my team and I hope that as I further my sport career, I continue to build up the team just as much as they impact me.
