I have always loved the feeling of hard work paying off. I set very high personal goals and standards because I believe I can attain them. I want to run in college to get faster and capitalize on my strengths in as many meaningful ways as possible. My experience of chronic hip pain due to what we learned were open growth plates (I am a 16-year-old junior) affected my freshman and sophomore outdoor seasons and set back my progress, but ultimately helped me reach the conclusion that running is important to me and something I would love the opportunity to pursue, alongside rigorous academics, at the collegiate level. My greatest hope for the 2023 outdoor season is that I continue to get healthier/stronger and that my dedication and self-efficacy will enable me to accomplish my goals.
