In the winter of 2020, I competed in my first state meet, the Indoor Track State Meet, running the 4x800. I have had the opportunity to qualify to the Cross Country State Meet in 2020 with my team for the first time in school history, no girls team had qualified before us. Being a part of a history making team has not only taught me how to compete at a high level but also how to work with teammates to bring out the best runner and person inside of us. I aspire to compete at the next level after high school and not just compete but continue to set goals and work hard to overcome challenges and reap success.
